High risk Campaign 24V744000 · announced 03/10/2024 (2 years ago)

1. Steering

What's wrong, in plain English: If steering fails you can lose control of the car. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

What could happen: Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 INTEGRA.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Acura dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V744000 (manufacturer code SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-888-234-2138.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

2025 Acura Integra A Spec- I have driven the car around 12,000 miles total and recently have been noticing the steering wheel is “sticking” intermittently. Very dangerous especially because it’s more likely to happen on the highway on long gradual turns

While approaching a slowing car on the offramp, the Acura's automatic braking slammed on the brakes abruptly while flashing "Brake" on the dash. The car stopped well short of the car in front. This abrupt, uncommanded stopping resulted in a near miss whereby the driver behind my car nearly hit me. In addition to stopping sooner than required, and thus givin…

The steering wheel feels sticky whenever I take a curve, turn, or simply change lanes. I have to apply some force to recenter it. It has been an ongoing problem for about three weeks.
