Air bag light coming on and off intermittently. Known recall affecting bmw 540 models around this vin number. BMW says this particular vin not affected, but if NHTSA adds vin to list, they will fix.

I was driving and antitheft system went off while driving. Then wiper failed to work. I was told by dealer mechanic that the body control module was failing and advised not to drive the car because the antitheft system may cause the car to stop and the wiper system will stop when raining causing multiple accidents.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY A BMW RECALL PERSON WHO HAS CLEARD MY VEHICLE OF HAVING ANY PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAG. HOWEVER, I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE RECALL NOTIFICATIONS VIA MAIL. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO STOP THE FLOW OF PAPER TO MY MAILBOX?

THE CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE ON 9/4/18, AND CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE INSIDE THE ENGINE BAY. CAR WAS DRIVEN SEVERAL MILES TO A STORE. THE PASSENGERS WERE EXITING THE CAR WHEN THEY SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING.
