1. Body / structure
What's wrong, in plain English: Body panels, frame, doors, hood, trunk or latches. The door strikers may fracture, resulting in the door opening unexpectedly.
What could happen: A door opening while the vehicle is being driven can increasing the risk of injury or a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace all four door strikers and attaching bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 24, 2024. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N232429911.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2024 EQUINOX.

Component: STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR
Summary: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, Blazer EV, Equinox, and GMC Terrain vehicles. The door strikers may fracture, resulting in the door opening unexpectedly.

2 of my rims have cracked the first one around 8,000 miles and the second at around 14,400 miles. I have never cracked a rim before in my life except these 2 within the last few months. Emergency braking engaged when backing into parking spot in between two vehicles. No obstruction was behind vehicle.

The fuel pump quit while driving, fortunately we were not on as interstate highway. I was able to coast to the side of the road and call for tow. If this occurred on an interstate highway it could have been very dangerous. The dealer repaired the vehicle under a warranty. The fuel pump and control module were replaced.
