2023 Dodge Challenger (front Seat) recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-18. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
2 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Brakes
What's wrong, in plain English: Anything that slows the car down. Treat brake recalls as urgent. The parking brake may be improperly adjusted, which can result in a vehicle roll away. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."
What could happen: A vehicle roll away increases the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix: Dealers will properly adjust the parking brake, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 01B.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2023 CHALLENGER (FRONT SEAT).
- Book a repair at any authorized Dodge dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V112000 (manufacturer code 01B).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-853-1403.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

Started a month ago and it's getting worse. When I put my car in park and then take my foot off the brake rather the car is still on or off the car moves. It's an obvious movement and that is when I'm parked on level cement driveway it rolls about a foot as of today. So times It scare me and I physically hit the brakes to stop it. I have an automatic transm…

Have a crack that started from A pillar without any indication of any hit on the windshield. The front windshield spontaneously cracked from the A frame. This is dangerous because it weakens the windshield and can impair vision. I contacted Stellantis and they tried to g…

Windshield stress crack. From driver side A pillar across the windshield. Widely known factory defect issue. Causing many windshield replacements. No impact, no chips. This was due to improper bonding of the windshield during manufacturing, and body flex of the vehicle.
12/29/2025 · Visibility (wipers / glass)
ON 12/24/2025 I found a foot long stress crack on the passenger side of the windshield. I was a National Glass Association Technician for 10 years I can tell the difference between a stress crack and an impact crack. There is no reason for this 2023 vehicle to have a stress crack with only 38,000 miles. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue all one needs to…
