1. Brakes

What's wrong, in plain English: Anything that slows the car down. Treat brake recalls as urgent. The brake pedal may collapse and cause a loss of brake function.

What could happen: A loss of brake function increases the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will reinforce the brake pedal arm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 17, 2024. Owners may contact FCA Customer Service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is B7B.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 HORNET.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Dodge dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V752000 (manufacturer code B7B).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-853-1403.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
