What's wrong, in plain English: The parts that send engine power to the wheels. Failure can mean a sudden loss of power or the car rolling away. In the affected vehicles, the key may be able to be removed even while the transmission is not in Park. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention."
What could happen: If the key can be removed despite that the transmission is not in Park, a driver may think the vehicle is safety parked, when it is not, increasing the risk of a vehicle rollaway that could cause the vehicle to strike and injure the driver, other vehicle occupants, or bystanders.
The fix: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles, free of charge. The recall began on December 15, 2014. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 14C11.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2015 FUSION ENERGI.

Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured July 27, 2013, to October 31, 2014, 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid vehicles manufactured February 24, 2014, to October 31, 2014, and 2015 Ford Fusion Energi vehicles manufactured July 14, 2014, to October 31, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the key may be able to be removed even while the transmission is not in Park. Reoccuring headlamp outages. Requiring expensive repair because the front bumper must be remvoed to replace headlamps. This has now occured on more than one occasion following replacement of bulbs.

Backup camera broken, works only at random times. The Dealer confirmed today it needs to be replaced. Other 2015 Ford Fusions have already been recalled for this issue. I am asking you to expand it to include his VIN.

the rear view camera has only worked sporadically the last few years. Ford has issued recalls for this but not for my vehicle. Dangerous backing out for my family and other drivers.

Rear View camera has distorted image or changes to a blue screen before saying camera unavailable. It is an intermittent issue that has been happening over many months. No accidents or injuries have been caused.

Rear view camera reverts to a black screen when the vehicle is put in reverse. The screen indicates an error. This has been ongoing for a year. The 2016 Ford Fusion has been granted a recall on this issue - why wasn't the 2015 model included?
