1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Brakes
What's wrong, in plain English: Anything that slows the car down. Treat brake recalls as urgent. The brake line may have insufficient clearance to the body mounts, which can result in brake line damage that can lead to a brake fluid leak.
What could happen: A brake fluid leak can result in brake failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the brake line as necessary, free of charge. Interim letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed November 5, 2024. A second notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available, anticipated February 28, 2025. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-10…
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2014 SAVANA CUTAWAY VAN.
- Book a repair at any authorized GMC dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V702000 (manufacturer code N242466950).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-222-1020.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
