1. Wheels / tires

What's wrong, in plain English: A wheel or tire can fail while driving. Incorrect bolts may have been installed on the left and right front wheel hubs, which can result in the bolts loosening or deforming over time.

What could happen: A bolt that loosens or breaks during vehicle operation can result in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will replace the front left and right wheel hub bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 18, 2026. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223. GM's number for this recall is N2…

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 YUKON XL.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized GMC dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 26V304000 (manufacturer code N262554630).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-462-8782.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
