2015 Harley-Davidson Flhtcutg recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-18. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Brakes
What's wrong, in plain English: Anything that slows the car down. Treat brake recalls as urgent. The affected motorcycles have a rear brake master cylinder assembled with an incorrect piston. This piston may not provide the proper support and may allow a tear in the primary cup.
What could happen: If the primary cup develops a tear it will decrease the brake performance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
The fix: Harley-Davidson will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began December 16, 2014. Owners may contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 414-343-4056. Harley-Davidson's number for this recall is 0162.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2015 FLHTCUTG.
- Book a repair at any authorized Harley-Davidson dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 14V750000 (manufacturer code 0162).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
