3 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Transmission / drivetrain
What's wrong, in plain English: The parts that send engine power to the wheels. Failure can mean a sudden loss of power or the car rolling away. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP Hornet SP motorcycles. The pivot bolt on the gearshift pedal may loosen and detach, resulting in the inability to shift gears. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Controls and Displays."
What could happen: The inability to shift gears while riding increases the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix: Dealers will replace the pivot bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 1, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KT2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning Oct…

What's wrong, in plain English: Engine problems range from stalling to fire. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP motorcycles.
