Recalls: check by VIN

NHTSA files recalls for the Hyundai Genesis under individual trim or body names rather than "Genesis", so we can't match them automatically. Enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls for the definitive list. The owner complaints below are matched correctly.

While driving at approximately 70MPH on the highway, my 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited suddenly locked up with no warning lights, no noise and no prior symptoms. The engine completely seized, causing immediate loss of power. I was barely able to coast off the highway exit to a final stop on the feeder shoulder, in a desolate area. The vehicle has always bee…

My HECU unit failed at only 61k miles. My car is a sedan not a coup, so Hyundai does not want to cover it under the recall. This is redicules, my safety is at steak

HECU failure only has 61k this is an ongoing issue with Hyundai. Hyundai covers the 2014 coup, but not the sedan in a recall for this issue. I don’t understand the difference.
