2015 Infiniti Qx70 recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-18. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Fuel system
What's wrong, in plain English: Fuel lines, tank or pump. Fuel problems usually mean a leak, and leaks mean fire risk. The fuel pressure sensors may not have been sufficiently tightened during production. As a result, the fuel pressure sensor may loosen with vehicle usage and cause a fuel leak.
What could happen: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could cause a vehicle fire.
The fix: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will re-torque the fuel pressure sensors free of charge. The recall began on January 25, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2015 QX70.
- Book a repair at any authorized Infiniti dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 14V683000.
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-647-7261.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

I was driving down the highway and the revs went up really high with some banging and clanging, the check engine light came on and the gears stopped shifting. The dealer told me the transmission valve body failed and it seems to be a common issue in these cars. Not safe to drive as the gears wont shift and this seems to be a sensor in the transmission that…

Brake fluid began leaking onto the ABS actuator circuit board and created an electrical fire. This melted the engine harness and the connector to the abs module. This was confirmed by dealership technicians at Sewell Infiniti - Dallas. Dealership informed me they could not fix the vehicle because the part needed to replace (affected by a different recall)…

I was backing out of the garage intending to stop on the driveway and inspect tires in the sunlight. The brakes had no effect and the car proceeded across the street and up the neighbor's driveway and finally stopped just short of their garage door. All this time I was applying the brake repeatedly with no result. Why it stopped just in time to save neig…

THE SUNROOF EXPLODED AT APPROX 8AM 5/30/2017. THE EXPLOSION WAS PRECEDED BY A RATTLING NOISE, THEN A VERY LOUD AND SCARY BANG. I WAS TRAVELING APPROX 65 MPH ON I80 W (BETWEEN VACAVILLE AND FAIRFIELD CALIFORNIA). MORNING TEMPERATURE MILD--PROBABLY IN THE UPPER 60'S. I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND FOUND THE SUNROOF GLASS HAD FIRST EXPANDED THEN SHATTERED. BECA…

THE INTERIOR COURTESY LIGHTS UNDER THE DASH REMAIN ON WHEN CAR IS RUNNING. DURING NIGHT TIME DRIVING THIS IS VERY DISTRACTING TO ATTENTIVE SAFE DRIVING. ACCORDING TO INFINITI, THIS WAS ENGINEERIED TO REMAIN ON AND THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THE LIGHT OFF. THE CHANGE TO THE LIGHTING WAS DONE ON MODELS BEGINING WITH 2014. IN EARLIER MODELS ALL THE AMBIENT LI…

THE VEHICLE CONSISTENTLY EXHIBITS A SHUDDER (VIBRATION, TREMOR) WHEN (1) THE VEHICLE IS WARMED (DRIVEN AT LEAST 10 MILES FROM COLD START), (2) MOVING AT A SPEED ABOVE APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, AND (3) THE THROTTLE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. USUALLY, BUT NOT CONSISTENTLY, THE SHUDDER IMMEDIATELY DISSIPATES WHEN PRESSURE TO THE THROTTLE PEDAL IS RELEASED OR WHEN THE T…
