1. Seat belts

What's wrong, in plain English: Seat belts may not hold you in a crash. The driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners may be damaged, which can cause the seat belts to not properly restrain occupants.

What could happen: Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.

The fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the front seat belt assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 15, 2022. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H412.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2022 XF.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Jaguar dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 22V524000 (manufacturer code H412).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-452-4827.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

My car pulls to the right very hard where I have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. It also pulls to the left very hard and again I have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. It's not out of line. It feels as though its in the power steering which I am a bit concerned. I think it's dangerous to drive. I tried to make an appointment with…
