5 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Backup camera
What's wrong, in plain English: The rear camera may not show an image when reversing. The touchscreen in the center console may go blank at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
What could happen: A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will update the touchscreen software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 3, 2025. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N972.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2023 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE.
- Book a repair at any authorized Land Rover dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 25V016000 (manufacturer code N972).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-637-6837.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

2. Airbags
What's wrong, in plain English: The airbag system — the part that is supposed to protect you in a crash. The passenger air bag may tear during deployment.
What could happen: A torn air bag may not adequately protect an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, a torn air bag may allow hot gases to escape, which can cause a burn injury.
The fix: Dealers will repair the passenger air bag module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 17 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N945.
