What's wrong, in plain English: Engine problems range from stalling to fire. MICRO-FOREIGN OBJECTS IN THE MATERIAL OF THE VALVE SPRING MAY DEGRADE THE STRENGTH OF THE VALVE SPRING, POSSIBLY CAUSING THE SPRING TO BREAK.
What could happen: THE ENGINE COULD FAIL AND STOP SUDDENLY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fix: TOYOTA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT LEXUS AT 1-800-255-3987.

BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN, THE RINGS STICK CAUSING OIL CONSUMPTION AND ENGINE WEAR. IT SMOKES WHEN DRIVEN. THIS AFFECTS THESE VEHICLES APPROXIMATELY YEARS 06 - 11. THEY REVAMPED THE ENGINE AFTER 11 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY SHOULD REPAIR OUR ENGINES

LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON 1000 MILES AFTER OIL CHANGE AT LEXUS DEALERSHIP. CAR WAS LOW 2.5 QUARTS OF OIL.
