2025 Mercedes-Benz Gle 450e 4matic recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-20. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Visibility (wipers / glass)
What's wrong, in plain English: You may not be able to see the road clearly. The multi-purpose camera and the rearview mirror may be insufficiently attached to the windshield and may detach.
What could happen: A detached mirror can reduce visibility for the driver. A detached camera can cause a loss of certain driving assistance systems, such as Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Brake Assist. Either of these situations can increase the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the windshield and reinstall the multi-purpose camera and rearview mirror, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2025060001.

Shortly after we took possession of the car, I noticed that the warning that I was not holding the steering wheel would light up when I was holding the wheel with both hands in the 10-2 position. The vehicle loses power while driving and flashes "Performance Extremely Limited." We have had this happen in intersections and while getting on the highway almost causing an accident on more than one occasion. When this occurs the vehicle decelerates quickly, will not use the batter and basic functions like the air conditioning stop working.
