1. Lights

What's wrong, in plain English: Headlights, tail lights or turn signals may not work, making the car hard to see. Moisture may enter the reverse light assemblies and cause a light failure.

What could happen: Reverse light failure may reduce visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will replace both reverse light assemblies and repair the wire harnesses as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 23, 2026. This is a phased recall. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24TB06 and 24TA06.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 TUNDRA.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Toyota dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 25V322000 (manufacturer code 24TB06 and 24TA06).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-331-4331.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
