1. Airbags

What's wrong, in plain English: The airbag system — the part that is supposed to protect you in a crash. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Revel Sport, 2024-2025 Vita, 2025 Porto, Adventure Wagon, 2024-2026 View, Revel, Navion, and Ekko motorhomes. Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) wires can be caught in the seat mechanism when the driver or passenger seats are adjusted.

What could happen: Damaged wires can prevent air bags from deploying in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix: Dealers will inspect and re-route the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 199.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2026 VIEW.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 25V478000 (manufacturer code 199).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-641-585-6939.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
