1. Body / structure

What's wrong, in plain English: Body panels, frame, doors, hood, trunk or latches. The door strikers may fracture, resulting in the door opening unexpectedly.

What could happen: A door opening while the vehicle is being driven can increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

The fix: Dealers will replace all four door strikers and attaching bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 24, 2024. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N232429911.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2024 BLAZER.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Chevrolet dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 23V869000 (manufacturer code N232429911).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-222-1020.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
