1. Latches / locks

What's wrong, in plain English: Doors, hood or trunk may open unexpectedly. The door strikers were not properly heat-treated, which can cause them to break.

What could happen: A broken door striker can cause the door to open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix: Dealers will replace all four side door strikers and attachment bolts, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealership inventory and therefore no owner notification letters are expected to be mailed. Owners may call Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N24247713…

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 BLAZER.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Chevrolet dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V737000 (manufacturer code N242477131).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-222-1020.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
