2025 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-18. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
3 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Seat belts
What's wrong, in plain English: Seat belts may not hold you in a crash. The driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors may lock in a stowed position and become inaccessible to occupants.
What could happen: An inaccessible seat belt that cannot restrain an occupant, increases the risk of injury in a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the driver and/or passenger seat belt retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2024. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N242441390.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 CORVETTE STINGRAY.
- Book a repair at any authorized Chevrolet dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V418000 (manufacturer code N242441390).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-222-1020.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

2. Fuel system
What's wrong, in plain English: Fuel lines, tank or pump. Fuel problems usually mean a leak, and leaks mean fire risk. Excess fuel may spill into the vehicle fuel-filler pocket during refueling and leak onto an ignition source.
What could happen: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.
The fix: Dealers will install a shield to divert spilled fuel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 14, 2025. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252514930.

My Onstar feature does not work at all. So there is no emergency notification in the event of an accident. The dealer ordered the module to repair the problem but GM keeps canceling the order. There has been reports of the engine stalling, I have not experienced that yet so I do not drive the vehicle much for that reason.

The heated seat option burned the seat right thru. It’s a fire hazard because the wiring for the heated seats burned right through the cloth seat. so you have a wire issue under a combustible material like the clothing material in a car seat.
