1. Equipment

What's wrong, in plain English: A part or accessory supplied with the vehicle. Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Solera, 2023-2025 Forester, and Sunseeker motorhomes. The Liquid Propane (LP) line may not be properly secured, which can cause the line to become damaged and leak.

What could happen: A propane gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The fix: Dealers will install a p-clamp to secure the LP line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 28, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-206-7600. Forest River's number for this recall is 34-1780.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 FORESTER.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Forest River dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 24V351000 (manufacturer code 34-1780).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-574-206-7600.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
