2020 Infiniti Qx60 recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-18. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Transmission / drivetrain
What's wrong, in plain English: The parts that send engine power to the wheels. Failure can mean a sudden loss of power or the car rolling away. The front steering knuckle or rear axle housing may have insufficient strength due to improper heat-treatment.
What could happen: The steering knuckle or rear axle could deform upon impact, such as from hitting a curb, resulting in a loss of steering control, or possible wheel separation. Both of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the front steering knuckle and rear axle housing, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 26, 2021. Nissan owners may contact customer service at 1-800-867-7669. INFINITI owners may contact customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2020 QX60.
- Book a repair at any authorized Infiniti dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 21V402000.
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-867-7669.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

While traveling at 75 mph(speed limit) on the interstate, the vehicle's CVT transmission suffered a catastrophic failure and suddenly lost all power/acceleration, dropping into a low-gear limp mode. My engine is making a knocking noise and wants to stall sometimes. Some other Nissan engines have recalls and I feel like it should include this engine. This is a 2020 and I still owe a lot of money. I should not be having major engine issues. Please look at this engine with the other recalls.
