2 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Fuel system
What's wrong, in plain English: Fuel lines, tank or pump. Fuel problems usually mean a leak, and leaks mean fire risk. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Nissan Armada and 2020-2021 INFINITI QX80 vehicles equipped with V8 engines. The impeller can swell and bind within the fuel pump module, causing it to fail.
What could happen: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 4, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R21A2. Owners may contact INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200. INFINITI's number for this reca…
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2020 QX80.
- Book a repair at any authorized Infiniti dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 21V373000 (manufacturer code R21A2).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-867-7669.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

02/18/2026 · Unknown Or Other
Sunroof shattered while driving. If I did not have sunroof cover closed, glass would have fallen on me into car and potentially cause distraction leading to crash. An insurance rep will be inspecting vehicle within the next 3-5 days. No prior warnings before glass shattered.
04/10/2024 · Brakes
The brakes automatically engage without cause. The problem occurs at both city and highway speeds, from 20-75 mph. It is particularly bad when passing underneath a bridge. The car will abruptly stop. This has been ongoing for monthes. Sometimes, the vehicle will act inappropriately when the brake is applied by the driver. The car will attempt to accelerate…

While waiting in a parking lot, I was reviewing the settings available on the lower center display, one of those options was for "Camera." Inside this menu I found and made adjustment for options like brightness, contrast, tint, color, and black level... and while most of those seemed to work well, and I was able to make suitable adjustments to the camera…

Vehicle aggressively and without cause engaged the Automatic Emergency Braking System causing the driver to be slammed against her seat belt and almost having the car in back of us to almost rear end our vehicle. This has happened in the past but it has been a manageable slight deceleration when going around a gentle curve or at the railroad overpass. . Th…

07/05/2020 · Vehicle Speed Control
THE CRUISE CONTROL IS VERY ABRUPTED WHEN ENGAGING THE RESUME FEATURE. THE CRUISE WILL CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO DOWNSHIFT AND ENGINE TO REV ABOVE 5000 RPMS FOR JUST A COUPLE OF MPH SPEED INCREASE. I BELIEVE THIS A DESIGN FLAW THAT COULD CAUSE A DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR.
