1. Airbags

What's wrong, in plain English: The airbag system — the part that is supposed to protect you in a crash. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2021-2023 911 Turbo S, 2022 911 Turbo, 2022-2023 911 GT3 Touring, 911 GT3, 911 Carrera 4 GTS, 2022-2024 911 Carrera GTS, 2023 911 GT3 RS, 911 Dakar, and 2024 911 Carrera T vehicles equipped with optional full bucket seats. The seat-mounted air bags may deploy unnecessarily during a crash.

What could happen: Air bags that deploy unnecessarily can increase the risk of injury.

The fix: Dealers will reprogram the air bag control unit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 11, 2023. Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is APB3.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2021 911 TURBO S.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Porsche dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 23V715000 (manufacturer code APB3).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-767-7243.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

The fuel injection problem on cylinder 2 and 4 had injector electrical faults for the last two years resulting in reduced power warning. I finally took my car to the dealer for an analysis. After their analysis here is their statement on the service invoice: "Client state check engine light comes on and vehicle will run rough - Client scan for codes and h…

I started my car and about one minute later I heard an explosion from the rear of the vehicle and saw it engulfed in flames.

Two separate instances of fuel line failure and fuel leak in the engine compartment. The first in March 2024 and the second in September 2025. The situations both resulted in fuel leaking on top of the hot engine components. Repair requires removal of the engine and transmission. In 2024 repair time was 9 weeks, in 2025 - 3 weeks. In the first case service…

2021 Porsche 911. Consumer writes in regards to missing computer chip for proper steering.

05/13/2021 · Seats
THE SEAT BACK RELEASE ON BOTH SEATS IS VERY HARD TO PULL. ON THE DRIVERS SIDE THE STRAP BROKE FREE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO EXIT AND THE SEAT WOULD NOT RELEASE. THIS COULD BE A SAFETY DANGER IN A CRASH WHEN REAR SEAT OCCUPANTS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO EXIT
