2 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Suspension
What's wrong, in plain English: Parts can break and cause loss of control. Certain suspension components may not have been tightened correctly and can loosen.
What could happen: Loose suspension components may detach, causing a sudden loss of vehicle stability and control, and increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace the affected suspension nuts and bolts. Dealers will also inspect surrounding components for damage, and replace any damaged parts as necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 7, 2021. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767…
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2021 CAYMAN GT4.
- Book a repair at any authorized Porsche dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 21V157000 (manufacturer code AMA3).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-767-7243.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
