2017 Winnebago Minnie recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-19. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
2 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Equipment
What's wrong, in plain English: A part or accessory supplied with the vehicle. The liquid propane (LP) gas supply line may be missing p-clamps, allowing the supply line to contact the burner assembly on the refrigerator.
What could happen: If the LP line contacts the burner assembly, the hose may melt, causing a gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
The fix: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the LP supply line for melting, replacing and securing the line as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 7, 2019. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280, extension 5220.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2017 MINNIE.
- Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 18V682000.
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-574-825-5280.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

THERE ARE CRACKS SPREADING FROM A BOLT HOLE ON BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT FRAME RAILS NEAR THE REAR TIRE. I'M NOT SURE WHEN IT HAPPENED, BUT THERE IS SOME RUST ON THE CRACKS INDICATING THAT IT DID NOT HAPPEN RECENTLY.*DT*JB*DT*JB*DT*JB

THE FRAME ON BOTH SIDES OF MY TRAVEL TRAILER HAS CRACKS WHERE A BOLT GOES THROUGH TO CONNECT A FRAME CROSS MEMBER FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRAME TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRAME NEAR THE AXLES. THE FRAME IS AN NXG MADE BY BAL/NORCO INDUSTRIES. THE CRACKS DEVELOPED OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS. THE TRAILER HAS LESS THAN 8,600 MILES ON IT.*DT*JB*DT*JB
