1. Equipment

What's wrong, in plain English: A part or accessory supplied with the vehicle. The liquid propane (LP) gas supply line may be missing p-clamps, allowing the supply line to contact the burner assembly on the refrigerator.

What could happen: If the LP line contacts the burner assembly, the hose may melt, causing a gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

The fix: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the LP supply line for melting, replacing and securing the line as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 7, 2019. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280, extension 5220.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2018 MINNIE.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 18V682000.
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-574-825-5280.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
