4 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Equipment
What's wrong, in plain English: A part or accessory supplied with the vehicle. The roof rack may not have been installed with the correct fasteners, possibly resulting in the roof rack detaching from the vehicle while moving.
What could happen: If the roof rack detaches while moving, it could become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will add a screw adjacent to each rivet, free of charge. The recall began on May 29, 2018. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 150.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2018 REVEL.
- Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 18V274000 (manufacturer code 150).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-641-585-6939.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
