1. Engine
What's wrong, in plain English: Engine problems range from stalling to fire. A software error in the powertrain control module (PCM) may cause the engine to stall.
What could happen: An unexpected stall increases the risk of a crash.
The fix: Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the PCM software, free of charge. The recall began August 20, 2019. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500, option 4. Mazda's number for this recall is 3719F.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2019 MAZDA6.
- Book a repair at any authorized Mazda dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 19V497000 (manufacturer code 3719F).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.

Summary: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2018-2019 CX-5, Mazda6, and 2019 Mazda3 vehicles. A software error in the powertrain control module (PCM) may cause the engine to stall.

The forward smart city brake malfunction front radar sense malfunction caused my car to slow down on the express with the check engine light blinking.

The paint is chipping excessively and will lead to extensive body damage at the rate it is chipping and exposing the metal underneath. I am taking the vehicle in to the dealer next week to show them the damage. The chipping issue has already been documented on a Bill of Lading from a transporter who shipped the car to me.
