2022 Winnebago Adventurer recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-19. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
3 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Seat belts
What's wrong, in plain English: Seat belts may not hold you in a crash. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Winnebago Shell, 2021-2023 Winnebago Inspire, 2022-2023 Winnebago Vista, Adventurer, Forza, Journey and Itasca Sunstar motorhomes. The seat belt attachment may have been improperly tightened. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
What could happen: A loose seat belt attachment may not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and tighten the seat belt attachment fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 24, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 175.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2022 ADVENTURER.
- Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 23V365000 (manufacturer code 175).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-537-1885.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
