2021 Winnebago Micro Minnie recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-19. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
4 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Transmission / drivetrain
What's wrong, in plain English: The parts that send engine power to the wheels. Failure can mean a sudden loss of power or the car rolling away. These trailers were built with undersized axles that may not support the weight of the vehicle and could break.
What could happen: If the axle breaks, it could result in serious injury or death.
The fix: Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will replace the 2,500 lb rated axle with the correct 4,000 lb rated axle, free of charge. The recall began December 18, 2020. Owners may contact Winnebago Towable customer service at 1-574-825-5250.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2021 MICRO MINNIE.
- Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 20V695000.
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-574-825-5250.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
