1. Body / structure

What's wrong, in plain English: Body panels, frame, doors, hood, trunk or latches. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Revel motorhomes. The retractable awning may extend unintentionally during transit.

What could happen: An awning extending unintentionally during transit may become a distraction or road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will install a power switch and a relay to the BT12 module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 20, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 171.

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2022 REVEL.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized Winnebago dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 22V863000 (manufacturer code 171).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-641-585-6939.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

What's wrong, in plain English: Wiring, modules, batteries. Short circuits can cause stalls or fires. Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Revel motorhomes. What could happen: A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

The fix: Dealers will reroute the current carrying cables and secure them, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 28, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 178.
